Abstract
A combined experimental approach comprising up-to-date high-sensitivit y methods was used to reveal the factors causing the sorptive hysteres is that occurs in sorption. The dilatometric method was used for the f irst time to study the sorptive deformation hysteresis of sorbents, On the basis of the results obtained, it was suggested that sorbent defo rmation may be the universal cause of sorptive hysteresis.
