Abstract
A new front-end electronics hybrid with a flexible kapton substrate was dev eloped for a silicon microstrip vertex detector. The hybrid showed a noise contribution which is estimated to be 1/35th of a minimum ionizing particle signal. Material thickness of the hybrid is 0.7% of a radiation length. Th e hybrid front-end electronics was operated in a deadtime-less. analog-pipe -line mode. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
