4,5-Dimethyl-2-bromophosphinine reacts with [Ru(eta (5)-C5Me5)(eta (4)-C6H1
0)Cl], in the presence of AgBF4, to afford depending on the reaction condit
ions complexes resulting from the substitution of the chloride or the diene
ligand. Under the same experimental conditions, reactions with the more st
erically hindered 2,6-bis(trimethylsilyl)phosphinines yield the sandwich [R
u(eta (5)-C5Me5)(eta (6)-phosphinine)] [BF4] cationic complexes.
