A compositional flow model for predicting wax deposition in oil pipelines i
s presented. Sample calculations as a function of time have been obtained b
y a numerical solution to the two-dimensional heat and momentum equations,
the laws of diffusion and a multisolid-wax thermodynamic model. Results sho
w temperature, radial mass flux and wax deposition profiles as a function o
f time and position in the pipeline. Details of the numerical impementation
of this model are described.
