Abstract
Longitudinal and transverse thermal Hall conductivity measurements are repo rted for the nb plane of a slightly underdoped (oxygen content 6.92 +/- 0.0 2) melt processed (Nd/Y)BCO intergrowth crystal below T-c. The longitudinal thermal conductivity for this crystal is phonon dominated, with the data b eing not inconsistent with the existence of a two peak structure in the pho nonic thermal conductivity, and a quasiparticle peak giving rise to the sim ilar toT(c)/2 peak in the total thermal conductivity. Further, the maximum mean free path for the quasiparticles at similar to 40 It is of the order 8 00 Angstrom, which is significantly smaller than for polycrystalline and si ngle crystal YBCO material, but consistent with ab-plane resistivity measur ements.
