Parity violation in p-wave neutron resonances of Sb-121, Sb-123, and I-127
has been measured hy transmission of a longitudinally polarized neutron bea
m through natural antimony and iodine targets. The measurements were perfor
med at the pulsed spallation neutron source of the Los Alamos Neutron Scien
ce Center. Five statistically significant parity violation effects were obs
erved in Sb-121, one effect in Sb-123, and seven effects in I-127. The weak
interaction rms matrix elements and the corresponding spreading widths wer
e determined.
