Abstract
In a study parallel to one recently carried out for the interacting boson m odel, the behavior of the geometric collective model (GCM) with (partially restricted) random interactions is studied. In particular, we study the fre quency distribution of E(4(1)(+))/E(2(1)(+)) ratios. In addition, we charac terize those GCM potentials giving E(5) spectra and distinguish them from o thers giving R(4/2)similar to2.3 but non-E(5) spectra.
