Abstract
We present a theoretical analysis of temperature effects on the self-deflec tion of photorefractive solitons in biased photovoltaic-photorefractive mat erials. The bending distance of the bright solitary beam center increases a nd, reaches its maximum value at a character temperature and then decreases as temperature rises and, approaches zero at low and high temperatures. Bo th the maximum value and character temperature increase with the input powe r density. The dark irradiance dominates the temperature dependence of bend ing distance in most values of temperature besides in higher temperature ra nge in which the diffusion process will dominate.
