Abstract
A mesoscopic Josephson junction in a superconducting ring enclosing a magne tostatic flux with dissipation is considered in the Wigner-function formali sm. It is shown that for weak dissipation the state of the junction can evo lve in a quantum superposition of two coherent states which exhibits quantu m interference. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
