The mechanochemically initiated copolymerization of polyvinyl chloride (PVC
) and acrylonitrile (AN) by vibromilling was studied, investigations were c
arried out to determine the effects on copolymerization under mechanical st
ress. They included radial acceptor, milling rime, particle size of PVC, an
d weight ratios of AN to PVC and balls to reactants. The obtained copolymer
was analyzed by FT-IR, turbidimetric titration, and pyrolysis gas chromato
graphy (PyGC).
