Abstract
The chemoenzymatic synthesis of new surfactants is reported; they were prep ared from unprotected carbohydrates, amino acids, and fatty acids. This stu dy pointed out the factors that govern the possibility to enzymatically bin d the carbohydrate to the amino acid.
