Pediatric palliative care

This article presents a model of integrated palliative care for children wi th life-limiting illnesses, with emphasis on collaboration of care over tim e among family, primary care providers, and several other groups of provide rs. Some of the unique aspects of caring for children related to normal dev elopmental changes and the family unit are considered. Issues related to pa in and to specific diseases are also reviewed.
