Abstract
N-(2,2,2-Trichloroethylidene)- and N-(2,2,2-trichloroethyl)arenesulfonamide s react with phenol, 2-chlorophenol, and 2-methylphenol in the presence of oleum or sulfuric acid to give the corresponding 4-(2,2,2-trichloro-1-aryls ulfonylaminoethyl)phenols in good yields.
