The standard enthalpies of formation at 298.15 K were determined for crysta
lline alpha -KNbUO6, beta -KNbUO6, and KNbUO6 1.5H(2)O. The temperature dep
endence of the heat capacity of alpha -KNbUO6 and KNbUO6 1.5H(2)O was studi
ed in the temperature range 5-300 K, and that of beta -KNbUO6, in the tempe
rature range 55-300 K. The thermodynamic functions and the equilibrium cons
tants were calculated at several temperatures for reactions leading to pota
ssium uranoniobates.
