Abstract
The sorption of bipolar cysteine ions on KU-2-8 sulfocationite in the H-for m was studied. DSC curves for the absorption of the amino acid were obtaine d. The thermodynamic functions of sorption of cysteine were evaluated. The sorption of the amino acid was found to be an exothermic process. It was sh own that the first stage of the interaction of cysteine with the cationite is determined by the enthalpy factor, whereas, at the later stages, of the entropy factor prevails.
