Abstract
The epoxidation of alpha,beta -unsaturated ketones to the corresponding epo xy ketones. using amberlyst A-26 supported hydroperoxide, which is prepared in situ from (35%) hydrogen peroxide and amberlyst A-26(OH-), is described . Reactions were carried out at room temperature and the corresponding epox ides were isolated in excellent yields.
