Abstract
Using potassium chlorate, sulfuric acid and ferrous sulfate as a catalytic oxidation system to oxidize the aryl substituted carbazide to prepare new t ype bisazo compounds in one phase have been described for the first time in this paper. Eight bisaryl carbodiazones have been synthesized in high yiel ds under mild conditions. A possible mechanism has been suggested.
