Abstract
alpha -Oxoketenedithioacetals and alkenoyl ketenedithioacetals underwent fa cile, boron trifluoride etherate assisted partial hydrolysis in dioxane to afford beta -oxothiolcarboxylates and gamma,delta -unsaturated beta -oxothi olcarboxylates, respectively, in good yields.
