Abstract
It is shown that the spectrum of a femtosecond light pulse propagating in a nonlinear medium depends on the absolute phase. As the propagation distanc e increases, the effect of the absolute phase of the light pulse on its spe ctrum may either decrease or increase. (C) 2001 MAIK "Nauka/ Interperiodica ".
