Abstract
The constant-volume combustion energies have been determined for three kind s of crown ether (CE) using a precision rotating-bomb calorimeter (RBC). Th e standard enthalpies of combustion, Delta H-CE(c)theta, and standard entha lpies of formation, Delta H-CE(f)theta have been calculated for these CE. T wo empirical formulas have been proposed about the standard combustion enth alpies of aromatic CE. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
