W. Wang et al., Carboxymethyl-beta-cyclodextrin for chiral separation of basic drugs by capillary electrophoresis, ANAL LETTER, 34(4), 2001, pp. 569-578
Four basic drugs were separated by capillary electrophoresis(CE) using cycl
odextrins(CDs) including beta -CD, hydroxypropyl-beta -CD(HP-beta -CD), hep
takis-2, 6-di-O-methyl-beta -CD (CM-beta -CD) and carboxymethyl-beta -CD (C
M-beta -CD) as chiral selectors. The effects of CM-beta -CD concentration,
pH of buffer solution, applied voltage and operation temperature were inves
tigated. Under the conditions of 100 mmol/L H3PO4-triethanolamine buffer at
pH 3.1 containing various amounts of CM-beta -CD, baseline separation of t
he enantiomers of salbutamol, norephedrine, ofloxacin and atenolol could be
achieved.
