Abstract
A novel chemiluminescence (CL) sensing system for hydrazine combined with f low-injection technique is presented in this paper. The analytical reagents , luminol and hexacyanoferrate(III), were both immobilized on an anion-exch ange column. The CL signal produced by the reaction between luminol and hex acyanoferrate(III), which were eluted from the column through sodium phosph ate injection, was decreased in the presence of hydrazine. The decrease in CL intensity is linear with hydrazine concentration in the range from 0.1 t o 100.0 ng(.)ml(-1); and the detection limit was 0.04 ng(.)ml(-1) (3 sigma) . A complete analysis could be performed in 2 min with a relative standard deviation of less than 5.0%. The flow sensor was stable for over 400 analys es and was applied successfully to the determination of hydrazine in artifi cial samples.
