Abstract
The new cobalt substituted-polyoxometalate K-7[CoAlW11O39]. 15H(2)O and the simple CoCl2. 6H(2)O salt are efficient catalysts for peroxynitrite decomp osition. These compounds also catalyze the oxidation of ascorbic acid and t he nitration of phenol by peroxynitrite.
