By elaborate adjustment of synthesis conditions, cubic (Pm (3) over barn) S
BA-1 samples with well-defined crystal morphologies of a large number of fa
cets have been synthesized, which are supposed to be obtained as a result o
f highly isotropic crystal growth under the conditions near thermodynamic e
quilibrium. The high-resolution transmission electron microscope image reve
aled regular periodicity over very large areas and this clearly indicates t
he crystal is a single crystal with a well-ordered mesostructure.
