Abstract
The crystal and molecular structure of the compound ( C13HgN4O2Cl) from con densation of 1H-indole-2,3-dione and griest reagent T is reported. The titl e compound is monoclinic with space group P2(1) n, 3 a=12.250(2), b=13.631( 2), c=9.777(1)Angstrom, beta =113.506(7)degrees, V=1497.1(4)Angstrom (3), M -r=297.76, D-c=1.321g/cm(3) mu =2.6cm(-1), F(000)=628, Z=4, R=0.0715, wR =0 .1843 (I >2 sigma (l)). The molecule forms a scorpion-like configuration. B ecause of steric hindrance, it is very difficult for some metal ions to for m coordination compounds.
