Abstract
The high-spin states of the odd-odd nucleus Ta-170 have been studied by the Gd-155 (F-19, 4n) Ta-170 reaction at the beam energy of 97 MeV. The alpha = 1 sequence of the semi-decoupled band has been pushed to higher-spin stat es and the signature inversion point was observed st 19.5 h. The results ar e compared with those of the neighbouring odd-odd nuclei.
