B. Natalini et al., Use of RP-HPLC on a dynamically coated artificial membrane to predict intestinal absorption of bile acids, CHROMATOGR, 53, 2001, pp. S453-S455
The preparation of an HPLC column with a non-covalent immobilized artificia
l membrane, by dynamic coating of a RP-18 surface with phosphatidylcholine,
is described. Passive transport of unconjugated bile acids has been correl
ated with log k(w) values resulting from interaction with this biomembrane-
like surface.
