Abstract
Friedreich's ataxia (FRDA) is an autosomal recessive neurodegenerative diso
rder causing progressive ataxia and dysarthria. We report two sisters who h
ad breast cancer aged 39 years and 42 years and who both developed a late o
nset form of FRDA with onset of neurological symptoms in their thirties. We
discuss whether there may be an association between the late onset form of
