A few downlink beamforming algorithms based on look-direction are presented
. The joint optimization of the individual portions of transmit energy dedi
cated for each user turns out to be the most important subject in look-dire
ction beamforming. We propose a new criterion for evaluating downlink techn
iques in wireless communications systems. The assessment of the presented b
eamforming algorithms is based on simulation results of an artificial scena
rio.
