The idea of synchronization of chaotic systems is further extended to
the case where all the drive system variables are combined suitably to
obtain a compound chaotic signal. An appropriate feedback loop is con
structed in the response system to achieve synchronization among the v
ariables of the drive and response systems. We apply this approach to
transmit both analog and digital data signals in which the quality of
the recovered signal is higher and the encoding is more secure.
