Abstract
Compound la reacted with phenacylbromide and chloroacetamide to yield thien opyridine derivatives 6 and 7. Compound 1b reacted with DMFDMA to yield met hylthioether 3 which reacted with DMFDMA to yield pyridine derivative 4. Co mpound 7 reacted with DMFDMA to yield pyrido[2,3-b]thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine derivative 10. Compounds 2a and 2b reacted with malononitrile to afford pyr idone derivative 11 and pyrane 13. Compound 2c reacted with cyanoacetamide to yield pentasubstituted benzene 16.
