Abstract
A serogical survey for the presence of bluetongue virus (BTV) antibodies in cattle was conducted at selected sites in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Ta mil Nanu. Group-specific antibodies to BTV were estimated by a competitive enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) using polyclonal antibodies. Res ults revealed that seroprevalence of BTV in AP, KS and TN were 65.19% and 7 9.51% and 80.95% respectively. The variation in per cent prevalence of anti bodies to BTV infection according to the age and bread type was discussed.
