S. Joseph et al., Effect of water of hydration on the Mossbauer parameters in the gel grown iron(II) tartrate crystals, I J PA PHYS, 39(7), 2001, pp. 471-473
Using the gel growth technique, the iron (II) tartrate spherulitic crystals
have been grown with different amounts of water of hydration. The Mossbaue
r parameters. that is, the isomer shift and quadrupole splitting, have been
studied with respect to the variation of water of hydration. The isomer sh
ift is found to he sensitive to the amount of water of hydration, whereas t
he value of quadrupole splitting remains constant.
