Abstract
A gravimetric method for the determination of liquid holdup was successfull y employed in a high-pressure-operated trickle-bed reactor. The method has proven to be a reliable, fast, and relatively simple way of measuring liqui d holdups under high pressures, despite opposite indications of previous wo rks done in this field. A detailed description of the apparatus and measuri ng procedure is given.
