Ib. Bobylev et al., Effect of low-temperature ion exchange in salt melts on the properties of high-T-c superconductors, INORG MATER, 37(7), 2001, pp. 706-710
The reactions of Ba2YCu3O7 and Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+delta, a with salt melts were
studied in the range 300-600 degreesC with the aim of substituting alkali m
etals and Ag for Ba and Sr via low-temperature ion exchange. It is found th
at Na and K can be partially substituted on the Ba site in 123, and Ag subs
titutes for Sr in 2212. The incorporation of Ag has an adverse effect on th
e superconducting properties of 2212.
