Abstract
A procedure is proposed for the in situ determination of free oxygen in the high-temperature solid-phase catalytic reduction of NO based on an EPR stu dy of the behavior of a reference addition of BaO. An approximating functio n for the dependence of the relative intensity of EPR spectra on the concen tration of resulting BaO2 was found. Concentrations of surface oxygen produ ced on the catalytic decomposition of NO and NO2 on palladium in the system 0.4% Pd + BaO were determined.
