Abstract
A flow type high-temperature apparatus has been designed and fabricated for the VLE measurements of multicomponent systems. The apparatus provides eas y sampling without disturbing the equilibrium at temperatures up to 500 deg reesC. The new VLE apparatus has been tested by measurement of data for the tetralin-quinoline binary system along an isotherm at 325 degreesC for whi ch literature data are already available. Furthermore, new data measurement s are reported at two higher temperatures, 350 degreesC and 370 degreesC. T he apparatus will be used in the future to generate high-temperature VLE da ta for binary mixtures of various coal model compounds.
