Abstract
Ring opening cross-metathesis (ROM) of bicyclic alkenes with terminal aryl alkenes on solid support was accomplished. A select group of resi n-bound bicyclic alkenes underwent highly regioselective ROM with elec tron rich styrenes. The influence of both electronic and steric factor s on regioselectivity was examined. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
