Abstract
Irradiation of a benzene solution containing 2,3-dicyano-5,6-dimethylp yrazine with allylic silanes afforded 2,8-diazatricyclo[3.2.1.0(4.8)]o ct-2-ene derivatives in moderate yields. This photoreaction involves t he (2 pi + 2 pi) photocycloaddition followed by rearrangement. (C) 199 7 Elsevier Science Ltd.
