Abstract
Exact solutions to the Schrodinger equation for potentials containing Coulo mb (similar to1/r) plus harmonic oscillator (similar tor(2)) terms are foun d, subject to constraints on the ratio of the strengths of the Coulomb and harmonic oscillator terms. The solutions have the simple form of a product of exponential and polynomial functions. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Sci ence B.V.
