Abstract
Civil liability is a concern gi all police agencies. Research has tended to focus on the extent of liability and factors that lead to civil suits. How ever, few have studied how officers perceive civil liability issues. This a rticle explores how officers perceive the impact of civil liability on thei r actions in the field. Furthermore, it considers how officers feel about a dministrative measures used by department to reduce liability.
