Oxidative coupling of lithium derivatives of the (CO)(2)PPh3MnC5H4Mn(C
O)(3) complex with CuCl2 results in the formation of four isomeric qua
tercymantrenyls containing two phosphine ligands. The compounds isolat
ed were characterized by the H-1 and P-31 NMR spectra.
