Abstract
Diels-Alder reaction of cyclopentadiene and 1,3-cyclohexadiene with propiol ic ester 6 under thermal and high pressure conditions gave an epimer mixtur e of ketoester 8 and 10, subsequently converted into bicyclic ketones 1 and 2.
