Abstract
[1]Benzopyrano[2,3,4-i,j]isoquinolines were synthesized from a bromoxanthon e by assembly of the isoquinoline ring in three steps: vinylation, hydroami nation and ring-closing reduction of the xanthone carbonyl. (C) 2001 Elsevi er Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
