Abstract
Otitis externa and otitis media are common disorders in dogs and cats. In c ombination with other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, the video-otos cope is a practical and effective tool in the management of clinical ear di sease. Video-otoscopy assists the practitioner through enhanced diagnostic capabilities, facilitation of therapeutic flushing, and image capture for t he medical record, client education and telemedicine. This article reviews relevant anatomy, indications for use of video-otoscopy, and specific appli cations and special procedures.
