Abstract
The use of various methods of rapid hardening of melts opens wide poss ibilities for creating new titanium alloys strengthened by intermetall ic compounds that possess elevated heat and creep resistances. strengt h. and other characteristics. The present paper concerns the regular f eatures in the decomposition of alloy VT22 (in the form of granules) r apidly hardened from the liquid state and alloyed additionally with ca rbon and boron.
