Abstract
Low-molar-mass poly(oxybutylene)s and poly(oxyethylene)s (M-n<5000 g m ol(-1)) were methylated and the specific volumes of the dimethyl ether s were determined over a range of temperature (30-90 degrees C). Resul ts are compared with published data for corresponding hydroxy-ended po lymers and methyl-ended poly(oxypropylene)s. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
