Abstract
The diffraction phenomena creating a multiple beam interference struct ure in an underwater sound channel were found to affect the narrow, we akly divergent, acoustic beams formed around the respective caustic ra ys, even at sufficiently high frequencies corresponding to multimode p ropagation.
