Case report. - We report a case of traumatic hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm
in a 9-year-old child. The diagnosis was made by duplex sonography and heli
cal CT angiography. Arteriography confirmed and managed the lesion with tra
nscatheter embolization.
Conclusion. - The traumatic hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm is an uncommon co
mplication of liver trauma in children whose diagnosis is made by duplex so
nography and CT angiography. Endovascular embolotherapy is the treatment of
choice. (C) 2001 Editions scientifiques et medicales Elsevier SAS.
