Abstract
Femoral neck and ipsilateral neck and shaft fractures in the young adu lt represent a significant source of morbidity and mortality. This art icle reviews the anatomy, pathophysiology, radiographic evaluation, ti ming of surgery, and complications in an attempt to increase recogniti on of these injuries and provide better patient care.
